Your massage school website needs to provide information to show that YOU are the expert in teaching people how to become massage therapists. Your website will be one of the first impressions people have of who you are and what you do. People will find your school when searching for massage school, your city or they wil find it by searching for career information.

The Massage school homepage will answer the question – what solution do you provide for potential students/readers of your website. When people are searching they are looking for information about something. When you provide that information, it already makes you look like the expert. The page needs to tell what is in it for them – the potential student/reader. It is not about YOU or Your School. You have a whole About page for that. A strong home page establishes your Valuable PREselling Proposition in its introductory paragraphs to keep people on the site and digging deeper into your school. You VPP will tell what you do in the form of a slogan that is maybe 10 words at most. It will create interest and make people want to keep clicking to find out more. If your school site says – Are you looking for a massage school – you have come to the right place! — this is about YOU!
What is it that your school does or has to set yourself apart from all the competitors and be really different?
The About Page
This is your page to shine and show who you are! The smaller proprietary massage schools will really get a chance to show how they are different here. The history of your school is important. The school owner and teachers will want to write about why they have a school and what it means to them to be able to teach massage and create more massage therapists. While your about page will be about you (the school), it also needs to keep in mind once again – what is in it for me – the reader/potential student.
Call to Action
What do you want people who visit your site to do? The call to action does not come until after you have shown you are the expert and authority massage school in your area. The main lead generation tools are getting people’s emails and having a free download of some sort to continue the process of information sharing. You might want them to come in and take a tour of the school or take an introductory class on massage for them to get an idea if a career in massage is really what they want.
